Jean-François Rauzier
HYPERPHOTOS3

April 28 / June 01 2012 - Art district - Le Royal Monceau-Raffles Paris

The Art District gallery of Le Royal Monceau - Raffles Paris is happy to present the solo show of Jean-François Rauzier, HYPERPHOTOS, in partnership with Paris-Beijing Gallery, until June 1st, 2012.

Jean-François Rauzier creates a world beyond limits, immense panoramic landscapes in which the infinitely huge and the infinitely tiny are melded together at the heart of the same vision.
Between installation and photography, Hyperphotos are gigantic hyperrealist puzzle, created by assembling hundreds of close-up shots taken with a telephoto lens. As the artist himself says, “Hyperphotos are the realization of an old dream that would be impossible without digital technology: to see the big picture and at the same time the close-up, to stop time and be able to examine all the details of the fixed image."
Rauzier's evocative images immerse the spectator into a dreamlike, sometimes fantastic universe. They offer a reflection on reality, the place of man in the city, the perception of the world and an invitation to an exceptional journey.
